Best Pet Friendly Spots In South Bay

Accommodations
Most of these pet-friendly hotels, motels, and inns offer treats, doggy beds and even pet sitting services, but charge an extra fee for each pet during your stay, so call and confirm details and restrictions first before booking:

Parks and Walkways
- El Segundo Dog Park, El Segundo – Located along East Imperial Avenue between McCarthy Court and Sheldon Street, the park is a fenced-in area with lots of trees and open spaces. There are designated areas for large and small dogs where they can play, run free and exercise.
- Live Oak Park, Manhattan Beach – Small fenced-in dog run where dogs can run free.
- Polliwog Park, Manhattan Beach – Features a fenced-in dog run; the area is small, but dogs are allowed to play, run free and exercise.
- Rancho Caninos Dog Park, Rancho Palos Verdes – An all wood-chip dog park that’s about half an acre, with shaded areas, seating, water faucets and bowls for dogs, plus a restroom and hand wash station. There are separate fenced-in areas for large and small dogs.
- Redondo Beach Dog Park, Redondo Beach – Open since 1992, the park is at the northern end of Dominguez Park along 190th Street. Features a 3-acre fenced dog run, with separate areas for large and small dogs, as well as benches and drinking fountains for both dogs and their owners. The park is open everyday except Wednesdays.
- The Strand, from Manhattan Beach to Torrance – Dogs are allowed on the paved bike path, but must remain on leash and are not allowed on the actual beach.
- Veterans Parkway, Manhattan Beach – This well-known patch of green and jogging path is where residents usually walk their dogs; just remember to keep them on a leash and have supplies to pick up after them.
